Ticket Wizard 1.2 beta
07 Feb 2025
Font styles, multiline texts and images in the new beta version of Ticket Wizard.
Font–Related Changes
This update replaces Bold and Italic options with a font–dependent Style selector which lets you better specify the font. The software tries its best to match your existing bold/italic options with the new styles, but it is highly recommended to double–check your projects.
Another breaking change is related to font size. Text elements are now generated exactly the same way on both platforms and perfectly match Adobe Illustrator texts. Again, you need to review the existing projects to fix any possible changes introduced by the font size fix.
Element Size
Each element can now have optional size. Once the size is enabled, you can specify the area for the element and alignment options will be using that area to place the element.
Multiline Texts
Text elements with size got two new rendering modes: multiline and word wrapped. Ticket Wizard will not skip new lines in those modes and text will wrap manually or automatically, depending on the settings.
Ticket Wizard will warn you if the text doesn’t fit the element area.
Background Color
Elements got background color. You can select between filling the whole element area and the content area if the element has size.
Images Support
Ticket Wizard got images support with this update. You can specify paths to images in a column, then add an image object linked to that column and get images added to the design.
Currently only absolute paths and only PDF and AI formats are supported. More to come soon.
Partial Export
You can now specify the rows interval to process in case if you don’t need the whole dataset to be processed at once.
This can be configured right before you generate the PDF in the popup panel.
Cloning Elements
You can now clone elements in a “step and repeat” manner using the Clone.. item in the context menu. There you can specify the number of horizontal and vertical copies and offsets to make elements grids.
Getting The Beta
This is a beta version, so issues are possible, but overall the update is pretty stable to give it a try. Contact us if you have any issues with the update, or have some ideas regarding the new features.
